Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, article by Paul Fairman, MD

Dr. Paul Fairman is the Medical Director of the lung transplant program at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, VA. In 2002, he wrote the following article about Alpha 1 that goes to great lengths to give details about the disease and treatment. For the new patient, it is an excellent article to print out and take with you to your family doctor. Included are pictures of a diseased lung through regular xray and CT imaging.
