Mission Statement:
The mission of the Alpha-1 Advocacy Alliance is to advocate for all individuals affected by Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (Alpha-1) through programs and services of personal advocacy, education, support and public policy in order to improve all aspects of their lives. This mission will be accomplished through strengthening of volunteer community support, improving education and support services for Alpha-1 individuals, and building a network for dissemination of information to the public, health care professionals, Alpha-1 patients and their families.
Just as no two individuals are alike, the needs of Alpha-1 patients and their family evolve with the disease process. Our goal at the Alpha-1 Advocacy Alliance will be to provide the services needed, assessing the changes as they occur and fulfilling our goal at serving the Alpha-1 patient with compassionate and personal commitment.
