    Transplant Web Information

There are many personal web pages that offer individual stories about people and their transplant travels (waiting and receiving). As people share their stories with us, we will list them here too. For now, the following sites are informative: offering information from multiple directions including the patient and the doctor's perspective.

This site offers information on everything about transplants including info on the transplant games. It's a great resource where you can spend hours reading. We recommend that you don't try to absorb it all in one sitting. Take it slow as with anything, too much of a good thing can be overwhelming! There is a rather tongue-in-cheek article on the extra hair that many patients grow that you shouldn't miss. It's under the section for medications…don't miss that one for a little chuckle.

Another fantastic site is the one maintained by Second Wind. This group of dedicated individuals runs an email support group too for pre and post-lung transplant patients. Explore their site and sign up for the email group. Members are from around the world and have experienced every phase of transplant. There are no stupid questions…only questions that don't get asked!
